The Zone Of Interest / Oscars 2024 Nomination

We are so overwhelmingly proud of Johnnie Burn and the Wave team who have been shortlisted for ‘Best Sound’ at the upcoming 2024 Academy Awards for Jonathan Glazer’s latest feature smash, The Zone Of Interest. 

The film has picked up numerous award accolades across 2023 including the prestigious Cannes Palm d’Or Grand Prix.

Cannes Film Festival also saw Wave’s very own Johnnie Burn honoured specifically for his sound design work with the ‘Vulcan Award For The Technical Artist’; an incredibly sought after prize that highlights technical achievement in film making.

Alongside this, the European Film Festival 2023 also awarded ‘Best Sound’ to The Zone Of Interest

….what a year!

It’s been so wonderful to see the film pick up the sound recognition it so greatly deserves, huge congratulations to Johnnie, Simon Carroll, Brendan Feeney, Max Behrens, Joe Mount and Beresford Cookman for all your hard work and artistry.
